A Warm Welcome to Health Services Academy!
Health Services Academy is a new charter high school employing the theme of healthcare to provide students with comprehensive college-preparatory instruction and work-based learning.
Opened September 2009 in South Los Angeles, Health Services Academy is a free, small public school and welcome to all students. Our high school provides a high quality education to students of all academic and career interests. Health Services Academy is a unique charter high school collaboration between the Alliance College-Ready Public Schools (a charter management organization of high quality schools) and healthcare industry partners.
The mission of Health Services Academy is to equip students in South Los Angeles with the tools necessary to excel in high school curriculum, to prepare them for success in college and to motivate them to select healthcare related majors and careers. Our goal is 100% of our students receiving admission to a college or university as well as gaining hands-on experience in area hospitals.
Health Services Academy opened with an inaugural 9th grade class of students in the 2009-2010 school year.
