What Students Can Expect to Gain: We are cultivating the next generation of global leaders. Through an immersive, first-of-its-kind program on-site at the Yale Center Beijing, students receive: • One-of-a-kind insight into the American college application process • The chance to engage in a Q&A discussion with current college students in a panel setting • Friendships with peers and Yale student instructors from around the world • Enhanced preparation for intensive pre-collegiate programs, such as YYGS in New Haven • A new perspective on their goals and college majors • Exposure to the vibrant city of Beijing
NEW Standardized Tests Accepted! Haven’t taken the TOEFL? No problem! YYGS-Beijing now accepts two additional tests of English-language proficiency for admission: IELTS and PTE. Both still have open test dates in China and around the world prior to the October 15 application deadline. More information is available on our updated Eligibility page.
NEW Seminar Topics Announced! Essential to the YYGS-Beijing program is the opportunity for students to engage with world-renowned Yale faculty and graduate students in small seminars of their choosing. Topics currently include: • History • Economics • Public Health • Innovation and Entrepreneurship • International Relations • Environment • Applied Science • More topics to be added in the coming weeks!
